Spring time in Automn ? yes ! November 1st and it’s 70F ! What better day to go visit New York’s second Annual contemporary Art Show, ‘The Affordable Art Fair “ 120 galleries came from the world-over ; works from England, France (only one representation, what happened to the French ?), Asia, Canada, Venezuela, Australia, and the US were all present. New York’s Pier 92 was animated by the bustle of onlookers and the electric enthousiasm of artists. At the customer’s whim, the pieces are bought, wrapped and carried off on the spot. My favorite ? A young American painter Betty Merken at San Francisco’s Dolby Chadwick Gallery. Her work speaks to the heart and not only the mind… See for yourself !
