Benoît Luyckx is working all kind of stone, but has a preference for black or white marble or the Soignies'stone also called "Belgian bluestone".
He likes direct carving in stone, he likes the contact with material and works directly at quarries, in order to hollow seep into the roughness rock.
For several years now, he works almost exclusively for architects projects and large size orders.
